A: The website’s booking system currently processes payments only through PayPal, but other payment options are available. I am also happy to accept cash, Venmo, or Zelle.

A: Life happens. Live appointments may be rescheduled or canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Appointments canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled once or refunded according to the payment and booking terms provided at checkout.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are generally nonrefundable, although one courtesy rescheduling may be offered in the case of an emergency.

Clients who arrive late will receive the remaining portion of their scheduled appointment. Arriving late does not extend the session end time. If you are more than 10 minutes late without contacting Dr. Lauren, the appointment may be treated as a missed session.

Missed appointments and no-shows are nonrefundable.

Written reports may be canceled only before chart preparation and personalized work have begun. Once work has started, the purchase is nonrefundable because the report is created specifically for you.

A: Not at all. Celestial Scholar readings are designed to meet you wherever you are, whether you are completely new to astrology, know your “Big Three,” or have studied your chart for years.

You do not need to understand astrological terminology or prepare questions about specific planets or placements. Dr. Lauren will explain the chart in clear, approachable language and provide the context you need along the way. The service descriptions and “Which Service Should I Choose?” guide can help you select the best place to begin.

A: For most personalized readings and reports, you will need to provide: 

• Your full date of birth (Month, Day, Year)
• Your exact time of birth, as closely as possible (example: 5:55 p.m.)

• The city, state or region, and country where you were born (example: New York City, NY, USA)

Your birth time is often listed on your birth certificate or other official birth record (or you can ask a parent or grandparent, or another close family member). Please enter the time exactly as recorded, including whether it was a.m. or p.m.

For a Solar Return reading or report, you may also be asked where you expect to spend your birthday, since location can affect the Solar Return chart.

A: You may still be able to receive a meaningful reading, but some parts of the chart may be unavailable or less precise.

Without an exact birth time, Dr. Lauren may not be able to determine your Rising sign, house placements, chart angles, or the precise timing of certain transits. The Moon may also change signs on some birth dates.

Before booking, check your birth certificate, baby book, hospital records, or ask a family member who may remember. Please do not guess a birth time. An unknown time is more useful than an inaccurate one.

If your birth time remains unknown, please mention that when booking. Dr. Lauren can let you know which services are still appropriate and what limitations may apply.

A: If you know your general time of birth—such as morning, afternoon, or within a few-hour window—but not the exact time, Celestial Scholar offers a separate service called birth time rectification.

A: Rectification is a systematic process that compares possible birth times with important dates, life events, personal characteristics, and recurring patterns in your life. Using this information, Dr. Lauren works to narrow the likely birth-time range and identify the chart that most closely reflects your lived experience.

Rectification can often provide a reliable working birth time that allows for a more complete interpretation of your Rising sign, houses, chart angles, and timing techniques. However, it cannot recreate a missing official record or guarantee an exact birth time to the minute.

Because rectification requires additional research and preparation, it must be booked separately before any service that depends on an accurate birth time. Please contact Celestial Scholar before booking if you believe you may need this service.

A Solar Return chart is calculated for the exact moment each year when the Sun returns to the position it occupied at your birth. It offers a focused look at the themes, opportunities, priorities, and growth edges that may be especially important from one birthday to the next.

Your natal chart is your lifelong blueprint. Your Solar Return chart highlights the chapter you are currently entering.

A: A transit forecast examines the current and upcoming movement of the planets in relation to your natal chart. It is especially useful for understanding what is developing now, identifying significant periods in the coming weeks or months, and exploring the timing surrounding a particular question or situation.

A Solar Return reading looks at the broader story of your personal year, from one birthday to the next. It focuses on the year’s central themes, priorities, opportunities, relationships, challenges, and areas of growth.

In simple terms, transits provide a closer look at what is unfolding and when, while a Solar Return reading provides a wider view of the year as a whole.

You are welcome to bring questions about relationships, career, family dynamics, creativity, personal growth, finances, relocation, education, or an important decision.

Astrology can help reveal patterns, clarify competing priorities, identify supportive timing, and offer a new perspective on the choices in front of you. It is most useful as a tool for reflection and informed decision-making—not as a replacement for your judgment or personal agency.

For highly specific questions or one central area of life, a Cosmic Clarity Session or Mini-Reading may be the best fit.

Dr. Lauren’s approach is predictive without being fatalistic. The goal is not to tell you that your future is fixed, but to help you understand the energies at work so that you can move through them with greater clarity and intention.

Think of astrology as a weather forecast rather than a predetermined script: it can help you prepare for the conditions, but you still decide how to respond.

A: Readings should primarily center on you, your experiences, and the choices available to you.

You may absolutely ask about a relationship or interpersonal dynamic. Dr. Lauren can examine how another person’s chart interacts with yours when accurate birth information is available and it is ethically appropriate to do so.

However, astrology will not be used to invade another person’s privacy, claim certainty about their private thoughts, or make decisions on their behalf. Questions such as “How can I better understand this relationship?” or “What patterns are active between us?” are more appropriate than attempts to uncover another person’s secrets or intentions.

For a full reading focused exclusively on another adult, that person should book the reading themselves or provide clear consent.

A: Live readings are not automatically recorded. If you wish for your live reading to be recorded, I am happy to do so, and will send the recording to you after the session upon request. Please let Dr. Lauren know at the beginning of your appointment if you would like a recording.

Additionally, you are welcome to take notes during your session, and you may request permission to make an audio recording for your personal use.

Any recording is intended only for the client’s private reference and may not be published, distributed, sold, or shared publicly without written permission from Celestial Scholar.

A: Each live reading includes time for questions during the scheduled session. You are encouraged to ask for clarification whenever something is unclear.

After the session, you may send one brief clarification email or DM within seven days. Follow-up communication is intended to clarify something already discussed in the reading rather than introduce a new topic, question, or chart analysis.

Questions requiring additional research, chart preparation, or interpretation may require a separate Mini-Reading, Transit Check-in, or Cosmic Clarity Session.

Written reports include one brief clarification email or DM within seven days of delivery / do not include follow-up interpretation unless otherwise stated in the service description.

A: Written reports are carefully researched, interpreted, and prepared specifically for you. They are delivered as a digital PDF to the email address provided when booking.

Your expected delivery window will be listed in the service description and confirmed after purchase. Current estimated turnaround times are:

• Foundational Star Chart: approximately 7-10 business days
• Extended Star Chart: approximately 10-14 business days
• Solar Return Report: approximately 10-14  business days
   

Turnaround time begins once payment and all required birth information have been received. You will be contacted if any information is missing or if clarification is needed.

Because each report is individually prepared, delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees. If you are purchasing a report for a birthday or another meaningful date, please book well in advance, or otherwise reach out to Dr. Lauren to see if expediting the report is possible.

I do not read minds, receive messages from beyond, or gaze into a crystal ball and see one fixed future.

What I can do is read the stars. Astrology allows me to interpret the soul blueprint reflected in your birth chart and recognize the themes, possibilities, and turning points that may be unfolding in a given period of time.

The future is never entirely set in stone, and your choices still matter. That said, I have watched the patterns I have read in the stars play out—sometimes with startling and incredibly specific accuracy. So, no, I am not psychic…but the planets can be remarkably revealing.
